therapy for real people dealing with real life
What kind of issues do you deal with?

  • Being human when it's really hard

  • “Stuckness”

  • Work Stress

  • Difficult transitions

  • End of life counselling

  • Grief and loss

  • Disability and vocational rehabilitation

  • Relationship difficulties (at work and at home)

My approach:

  • Genuine, non-judgmental and practical

  • Client-centred and tailored to individual needs

  • Collaborative and goal oriented

What might the process involve?

  • Gaining a new perspective of the problem

  • Connecting to your values

  • Being seen and heard

  • Discover the ways in which you get “hooked” so that you can get unstuck

  • Learning how to be kind to yourself

  • Practicing mindfulness in everyday life

  • Letting go (or holding lightly)

  • Feeling your feelings

  • Observing your thoughts

  • Tears and laughter

  • Committing to goals that reflect your values, even when its hard

Evidence based therapeutic

interventions I draw from:

  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)

  • ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)

  • SFT (Solution Focused Therapy)

  • CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy)

  • Mindfulness (Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy)

How can I tell if you are the right therapist for me?

  • you want to be supported through change

  • you want to be seen and heard without judgement

  • you want a warm and authentic collaborator you can depend on

  • you want a passionate professional who continuously studies with leaders in the field

  • you want someone with practical knowledge and experience in navigating the healthcare, workplace, and insurance landscape

  • you want someone who brings wisdom and compassion, the stuff that can’t be taught in school

What are your fees and what about insurance?

  • $170 per hour

  • reduced fee services are available on a limited basis

  • Services are covered if your extended health plan covers registered psychologist or registered psychotherapist

  • If you are on (Short-term/Long-Term or WSIB) your insurance company may be willing to pay me directly

What are your qualifications?

I am a registered psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a member in good standing with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.

Do you offer Online therapy?

Yes!  You can participate in therapy with me Online!

I know that the barriers of time and travel are real for many people.
